The
OECD LIST OF VARIETIES
ELIGIBLE FOR CERTIFICATION is an official list of
varieties which have been accepted by National Designated
Authorities of participating countries as eligible for
certification in accordance with the rules of the OECD Seed
Schemes.
These varieties satisfy
Distinctness, Uniformity and Stability conditions (D.U.S.
tests), having an agronomic value, and already been
published in the official list of one --or several--
participating countries.
The OECD List of Varieties
is revised annually on the basis of information provided by
National Authorities. For each variety, the List includes
details of the maintainer(s) and the country(ies) where the
variety has been registered.
The OECD List comprises
varieties eligible for certification according to the OECD
Seed Schemes; vegetable varieties are not part of the List.
The List is usually
published in January each year.
The January 2009 List,
includes about 42 000 varieties from more than 190 species .
