The ICGEB Biosafety Unit is proud
to announce the launch of the newly restructured
Biosafety Bibliographic
Database (Bibliosafety). Key improvements revolve around a
more powerful simple search using a similar approach to Google.
For example, identifying records authored by Andow in 2006 on
the development of pest resistance now only requires the
following text: Andow 2006 pest resistance.
Note there is now no longer the requirement to use Boolean
syntax e.g.: Andow+2006+pest+resistance
Of course an advance search is still available to restrict
searches to category of risk, author and/or year.
Other improvements include the listing of search output ("hits")
by the degree of relevancy rather than by publication year, a
clearer layout of each record and direct links, where available,
to DOI, corresponding author email and journal website.
Please note that the Bibliosafety Database is now hosted on a
dedicated server at the URL
http://bibliosafety.icgeb.org. We would appreciate if you
could make us aware of any problems that you experience with the
use of this new version, especially should you not be
automatically redirected to the new location.
We look forward to continuing our interaction with you.
Kind regards,
The ICGEB Biosafety Unit
