Mycogen Seeds announces that Hank King has accepted the role of Senior grain corn marketing specialist and Rick Henley has accepted the role of corn product manager. Both positions are located at the Mycogen Seeds headquarters in Indianapolis.

“It’s an exciting time for agriculture, and we are bringing in the best people to keep us on the cutting edge of corn hybrid development,” says Doug Vail, Mycogen Seeds general manager.

In his new position as senior grain corn marketing specialist, King (photo right) will be responsible for the design, development and execution of all Mycogen grain corn marketing activities.

“King’s expertise in marketing and sales will be an asset to the Mycogen Seeds grain corn business and to the marketing team as a whole,” Vail says.

King joined the Dow AgroSciences team in 1997 after receiving a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business and a master’s degree in entomology from the University of Arkansas. In the 12 years King has been with the company, he has worked in various sales, marketing, and management roles in both the crop protection and seeds/traits businesses. Most recently, King was a district sales manager for Mycogen Seeds in Illinois.

In Henley’s role as corn product manager, he is responsible for planning for adequate supply and allocation of the corn hybrids in the Mycogen Seeds portfolio. He also will help make new technologies in pest and risk management available to growers.

“Henley is an exceptional addition to the Mycogen Seeds team,” Vail says. “His experience with agronomics and marketing will help him effectively manage the Mycogen Seeds portfolio, allowing us to offer customers elite hybrids.”

Henley (photo left) received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Illinois and a master’s degree in business administration from St. Ambrose University. After working in a variety of sales, agronomy and marketing roles with FS, Garst and Syngenta, Henley took over his new position at Mycogen Seeds in March.
