.

Wilmington, Delaware
June 29, 2009

Yesterday, DuPont announced it sold its linuron herbicide assets to Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. (TKI). Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

“As part of our strategy to continually renew and revitalize our crop protection portfolio, DuPont uses select, strategic divestitures of niche products like linuron to allow us to put more focus, time and resources into our emerging pipeline of new crop protection chemistry,” said Jim Collins, vice president and general manager -- DuPont Crop Protection. “This enables us to increase the momentum and focus of our business as we continue to develop new answers to growers’ needs and advance agriculture.”

Linuron herbicide is marketed globally under the DuPont™ Lorox® and Linex® brands, as well as several associated mixture trademarks. This specialty herbicide is used primarily in the carrot, asparagus, celery, potato, cotton and soybean markets. TKI will acquire global rights to the linuron business, including trade names, registrations and registration data.
