Proven broadleaf and grassy weed
control in cereals just got easier to use. DuPont is launching a
new formulation of Harmony® SG herbicide that delivers
broad-spectrum weed control with a convenient built-in adjuvant
that eliminates the hassles of adjuvant loading and mixing.
“Spring wheat and durum growers in Western Canada will get all
the great performance they’ve come to expect from Harmony® SG
with the added convenience of a built in adjuvant,” said Jon
Gough, DuPont product manager for cereals. “With fewer jugs to
handle and rinse, one-pass weed control just got simpler.”
DuPont™ Harmony® SG provides control of wild oats, green foxtail
and 5-leaf wild buckwheat, in addition to 20 other broadleaf
weeds. Harmony® SG has a wide window of application – from
2-leaf to the emergence of the flag leaf. It has no soil
residue, no re-cropping restrictions the following year, and is
rainfast in one hour.
The new Harmony® SG is available in a more compact 40-acre case
than the previous formulation. Limited quantities of Harmony®
MEGA will be available in a new easy-to-use 160-acre tote. Both
of these package sizes will qualify for all currently-published
DuPont Harmony® programs, as well as rebates from the Syngenta
Partner Program™.
Harmony® Grass, the graminicide component of Harmony® SG, also
will be offered as a preferred tank-mix partner with herbicides
available in the new DuPont™ PrecisionPac™ herbicide delivery
system for customized weed control.
Harmony® SG is powered by Solumax® soluble granules. Solumax®
increases the bioavailability of the active ingredient to the
plant for fast, effective weed control. In addition, because the
herbicide dissolves completely into solution, it offers faster,
easier, more consistent tank cleanout and less risk to
subsequently sprayed crops like peas or canola.
