'Go with the Flow' with CONQUEST LQ
New formulation of soybean herbicide offers improved handling and greater application flexibility

For the 2009 growing season, BASF Canada is introducing CONQUEST LQ, a new liquid formulation of CONQUEST herbicide, for eastern Canadian soybean growers. CONQUEST LQ provides growers and custom applicators with a soybean herbicide that is easier to handle and that offers a flexible application rate to fit specific weed pressures and soil types.

“At BASF, innovation isn’t only about new products, it is also about enhancements to existing products to address changing needs. CONQUEST LQ is a perfect example of that type of innovation,” says Mike Bakker, Corn and Bean Market Manager for BASF Canada. “CONQUEST LQ has the same active ingredients and premium broad spectrum weed control as the original formulation, with the added advantages of its easy-to-use liquid formulation and superior application rate flexibility.”

CONQUEST LQ controls a broad range of weeds, including the following broadleaf and grass weeds from germinating seed through to emerged seedling weeds: common ragweed, Eastern black nightshade, green foxtail, lady’s-thumb, lamb’s-quarters, redroot pigweed and velvetleaf.

One case of CONQUEST LQ will treat 30-40 acres as an early pre-plant treatment. The 30 acre use rate should be applied in fields with heavier soils or higher weed infestations. As a tank-mix with Roundup® Original, Roundup Transorb® or Roundup WeatherMAX® herbicides, CONQUEST LQ can be applied before planting or after planting (prior to crop emergence) as a surface application in reduced tillage or no-till systems for burndown control of emerged weeds as well as season-long control of broadleaf and grass weeds.
