An additional tank-mix partner is now available with Liberty corn herbicide – Distinct herbicide. The new tank mix is registered for post-emergent use for LibertyLink® corn, in Eastern Canada and British Columbia, for enhanced control of annual broadleaf weeds.

Liberty (Group 10) controls a broad spectrum of grassy and broadleaf weeds in corn. Together with Distinct (Group 4), the tank mix provides better control of some of the toughest broadleaf weeds, including waterhemp, Canada thistle and ALS-resistant weeds.

“The addition of Distinct to the label means corn growers now have six tank-mix partners to choose with Liberty for post-emergent weed control on LibertyLink corn,” said Greg Good, Portfolio Manager, Row Crops for Bayer CropScience. “When growers need to boost broadleaf control, particularly on tougher weeds, this tank mix is a great tool to have at hand.”

The Liberty/Distinct tank mix is used from the two- to six-leaf stage of corn, with best results when applied to actively growing weeds. Application rates for the new tank mix are 1.5 L/ha or 2.0 L/ha of Liberty 200 SN (rate depends on weed species) + 285 g/ha of Distinct.
