PICKSEED Canada Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Vadim Gouida Ph.D. to the position of Production Manager at the Sherwood Park, Alberta facility. Gouida worked for PICKSEED in the Lindsay Head Office where he . --- marketed company products and services to Eastern Europe and in particular to Russia. He supervised grass seed growing contracts in Ontario and developed a variety database for PICKSEED's international trials.

Gouida has a diverse background that will support his efforts in this position. He spent the better part of a year at a Scottish University studying seed science. From there he was chosen as an exchange student to North Americian agriculture in the U.S. Midwest. On his return to Russia he provided consultative services to some western European seed companies. In 1997, Gouida and his family emigrated to Canada.

Gouida will supervise the production of export orders for seed destined for markets outside of Alberta, largely the U.S. and Europe and supervise the production of regional turf, forage and reclamation seed to meet the needs of the regional market from eastern Saskatchewan to British Columbia. Vadim will be reporting to Karl Fiander, Vice President of Western Operations and working with John Philp, Vice President of Wholesale Operations.
