Seed Treatment Symposium of the British Crop Protection Council

June 30, 2000

The British Crop Protection Council is to stage a technical symposium on 26 and 27 February
2001 dealing with the challenges and opportunities presented by seed treatments. The
Symposium will be held at the Belfry Resort Hotel in Warwickshire, UK. It is being organised
against a rapidly changing background which has seen the recent loss of the organo-mercurials
and lindane and the accelerated development of alternatives be they chemical, physical or
biological.

Seed Treatment: Challenges and Opportunities will bring together current knowledge of seed
treatment technology covering both major to minor crops and will look forward to the
developments of the next few years. It will include fungicidal, insecticidal and biological
treatments as well as application technology will be included in the programme.
