A l'automne 1997, le Groupe Verneuil a inscrit 6 nouvelles variétés de céréales à paille, 4 au catalogue français et 2 au
catalogue italien.
1. -En France
2 BLES TENDRES d'HIVER :
Ces 2 nouveaux blés sont très complémentaires, géographiquement, et dans la gamme Verneuil Semences en France.
CÉZANNE, code VR 92B757 : Obtention Verneuil Recherche, blé précoce, très productif, de qualité BPS, blé panifiable supérieur, résistant aux stress climatiques, adapté à toutes les régions de France. Cotation officielle française : 105,1 % Nord, (1er ex æquo), 104,2 % Sud des témoins. 3 bonifications.
ÉRÉBUS, code CGS 3436.7 :
Obtention NFC représenté par Verneuil Semences, blé demi-tardif, très productif, de qualité BPS, résistant à la verse et aux maladies, convient très bien aux régions Nord et Ouest France. Cotation officielle française : 104 % des témoins Nord.
2 BLES DURS :
2 Obtentions Verneuil Semences de Provence : les 2 seuls blés durs inscrits de l'automne 1997 en France :
ARTIMON, code DM 304 : Blé dur à fort potentiel de rendement, précoce, à grains jaunes bien remplis, résistant aux maladies et au froid, pour toutes régions en bonne terre. Cotation : 115,1 % des témoins, 1 bonification maladie, qualité classe D.
CARLIT, code VR 91D196 : Blé dur de qualité supérieure à gros grain, résistant aux maladies, plus adapté aux régions Sud France. Cotation : 99,6 % des témoins, 2 bonifications maladies, qualité classe A.
2. - En Italie
Verneuil recherche a inscrit un blé tendre et un blé dur au catalogue italien, à l'automne 1997.
PADUS : Blé tendre tardif, type Soissons, de productivité élevée, résistant à la verse et aux maladies. Sa qualité est de type panifiable supérieure avec un bon poids spécifique, du niveau des témoins italiens. Cotation officielle italienne : prochainement publiée.
NEFER : C'est un blé dur à haut potentiel de rendement adapté à toutes les régions italiennes du nord au sud. Il est résistant au froid, de précocité intermédiaire, résistant aux maladies. Nefer a une bonne qualité semoulière et pastière avec un bon poids spécifique du niveau des témoins. Cotation officielle italienne : prochainement publiée.

Verneuil has registred 6 new small grain cereal varieties : 4 in the
French catalogue, 2 in the Italian catalogue.
1- In France
2 WINTER WHEATS :
These 2 varieties are in good complementarity either
geographicaly or in the Verneuil Semences' cereal range.
CÉZANNE, code VR
92B757 : From Verneuil Recherche's research station, it is an early
variety, with high yield potential and a good breadmaking quality, BPS
type. Its good resistance to different stresses give good production
regularly in many areas. French official cotation : 105.1% North, (1st
ex æquo), 104.2% South compared to controls, with 3 bonifications.

3436.7 : From NFC's research station represented in France by Verneuil
Semences, this winter wheat is a late type, with a high yield
potential and a good breadmaking quality, BPS type. Its good
resistance to lodging and deseases give it many interests for north
and west French areas. French official cotation : 104% North compared
to controls.
2 DURUM WHEATS :
Those 2 Verneuil Semences de Provence's varieties
are the alone durum wheat registred last autumn in France :
ARTIMON, code DM 304 :
Its mains characteristics : very high yield potential, earliness, good
grain quality, high specific weight, desease resistance. With its good
winter hardiness, Artimon is well adapted in many areas in good soils.
French official cotation : 115.1% compared to controls, 1 desease
bonification, quality in class D.
CARLIT, code VR 91D196
: A special durum wheat for very high quality uses, with a heavy
thousand kernel weight, which will interest yield millers. Good
desease resistance, well adapted in French south regions. French
official cotation : 99.6% compared to controls, 2 desease
bonifications, quality in class A.
2- In Italy
Verneuil Recherche has registred a winter wheat and
a durum wheat in italian catalogue in 1997.
PADUS : A late winter
wheat, such as Soissons, high productivity, with a good resistance to
