Greg Maack recently was promoted to plant and contract production manager of Mycogen Seeds in Hastings. Formerly, he served as operations manager for Mycogen Seeds in Eagan, Minn.

Maack’s new responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations at the corn and soybean production plant, managing inventory, satisfying customer shipments and ensuring the company’s quality standards are met.

"Mr. Maack’s 23 years of experience in the seed business clearly qualifies him to help move the Hastings plant into the next century," says Tim Primus, operations leader of North America for Mycogen Seeds. "His strong leadership abilities will help ensure the plant’s continued success.

Primus points out that Maack is committed to actively involving the company in community and agricultural initiatives. "For example, Greg has worked very hard at offering valuable employment opportunities to youth, providing numerous jobs for high school and college students during the summer," he adds.

Maack holds a bachelor’s degree in agronomy from North Dakota State University and is actively involved in his community’s church functions.
