Mycogen Seeds hires Erikson as Regional Agronomist

Jon Erickson has joined Mycogen Seeds as a regional agronomist serving sales representatives and customers in Wisconsin, the upper peninsula of Michigan and parts of southeastern Minnesota.

"With his well-rounded education and years of experience in agronomy and customer service, Jon will be able to hit the ground running in this position," says Neil Bain, Mycogen regional sales manager. 

Erickson has been a certified professional agronomist for 15 years. Before joining Mycogen
Seeds, Erickson was a field sales representative for American Cyanamid, servicing customers in a 25-county area in Wisconsin. Prior to his work with American Cyanamid, he developed commercial sales and directed customer technical assistance as agronomy department manager for a Wisconsin cooperative.

Erickson graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, Wis., in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in agronomy. He is certified as a professional agronomist through the American Registry of Certified Professionals in Agronomy – Crops & Soils (ARCPACS) and is a certified crop advisor (CCA).

Mycogen Seeds is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company and is an affiliate of Dow AgroSciences. Mycogen markets grain corn, silage corn and nutritionally enhanced corn seed, as well as sunflower, canola, soybean, alfalfa and sorghum seed through a distribution system of sales representatives, distributors and retail outlets in the Corn Belt, the eastern United States and in major dairy areas throughout the country.
