Mycogen Seeds promotes Dr. Marcia Endres to Senior Animal Nutritionist
Eagan, Minnesota
February 4, 2000

Marcia Endres, Ph.D., has been promoted to senior animal nutritionist at Mycogen Seeds. In the recently created position, Endres will act as an information resource on the seed company’s nutritional products for ruminants.

Previously a nutrition research manager, Endres will expand on her previous duties by supporting the continuing education of the company’s agronomists, sales representatives and customers on ruminant nutrition and forage use.

"As dairy and beef producers have become more sophisticated in their production methods, their
demand for more efficient forages has become stronger," says Dan Johnson, Ph.D., Mycogen Seeds agronomy services manager. "We’ve been a leader in providing the quality forage farmers demand and in showing them how to get the most out of it. With her background in nutritional research, Marcia will help us continue to do both."

After receiving her doctorate in veterinary medicine in Brazil, Endres earned a master’s degree in beef nutrition from Iowa State University, and a doctorate in dairy nutrition from the University of Minnesota.

Mycogen Seeds is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company and is an affiliate of Dow AgroSciences. Mycogen markets grain corn, silage corn and nutritionally enhanced corn seed, as well as sunflower, canola, soybean, alfalfa and sorghum seed through a distribution system of sales representatives, distributors and retail outlets in the Corn Belt, the eastern United States and in major dairy areas throughout the country.
