Varieties of
ornamental peppers: Small fruit, 1-3.5 cm. Attractive colors:
lemon-yellow, yellow, orange, purple and red. Fruit usually very sharp and
maintain their attractive appearance on the plant for several weeks. There
are about 12 varieties including short plants, medium height and tall
plants, with a range of colors and fruit shapes.
Environmental
conditions: They grow and develop well in open field
conditions. Optimal temperatures of about 25 0 C, full light. Excess heat
combined with lack of light results in very tall plants. During strong
sunlight (peak summer season) it is recommended to introduce about 15%
shade. |
