Ornamental Sunflower
Hazera

Orit F1

An ideal cut flower hybrid with golden-yellow petals and purple-brown disk, utterly devoid of pollen.

While most other sunflower varieties suffer from a heavy pollen shedding habit, ORIT's lack of pollen accounts not only for a longer shelf life but also for absolute neatness in the home, near to maturing flower.

Under Mediterranean conditions, it can be sown all year round, except for a short period between mid-December and early February.

Its hybrid seed germinates vigorously and with great uniformity. Even under stress conditions, plant development is very quick, with the stem reaching 90 to 150 cm in height, and sometimes more. As to the size of the composite flower, it is dictated by the plant population density as well as by customer's specifications. Depending on temperatures prevailing during the growth period, the flower may be ready for cutting 65 to 130 days after sowing, as soon as the first color signs start appearing.
