| Finally,
a Giant Pansy with the performance characteristics you’ve come to expect
from S&G genetics. Colossus flowers measure 3.5-4 inches across, on
plants that have significantly less stretch than other extra large
flowered varieties. Plants bloom a full week earlier than Majestic Giants,
so that you can reduce your crop time and add to your profitability. Plant
habit is tight and dense, with shorter internodes and small leaves so they
are easier to hold and to ship. In Texas grower trials, plant height in
pack averaged 40-50% less stretch.
All of this means a product that is easier for
growers to manage.
The home gardener gets a better product as well.
Plant habit is mounded and branched, only slightly more vigorous than
Delta. Flower stems are half the length of other extra large flowered
varieties and flowers face upwards.
Seed quality is as high as Delta – IG, primed
and PreMagic and PreNova pregerminated seed forms are all available. |

we are planning to make it easy for the retailer to switch from Majestic
Giants. S&G plans a special logo and tagline for future P.O.P.,
highlighting the giant flower size. Specially designed plant tags in a
variety of sizes direct consumers to Colossus even when garden center or
mass-market staff is busy in the rush of the selling season. This will
