EuropaBio General Secretary Nathalie Moll asks for a "coherent" biotechnology policy in the European Union

The general secretary of the association of bio-industries (EuropaBio) Nathalie Moll, asked in Santander (Spain) a "coherent" biotechnology policy in the European Union (EU), at Community level and Member States level, because this industry "can create one million jobs" in the period between 2010 and 2030.  "Europe has a good knowledge base, is a global leader in the biotechnology industry and has high awareness and appreciation for sustainability but need the development of a market economy, long-term policy coherence at all levels (Energy environment, food and agriculture) with the same national laws and European level", she reported.
