the recent developments in the global seed industry that have
had an important impact on the seed industry in Mexico.
Mexico's entry
into OECD, its signing of the UPOV Convention, and the
pressure put enacting technology protection legislation in
order to attract companies to invest and send technology into
Mexico have made us adopt legislation which is being slowly
assimilated and put into practice.
The new
legislation has not yet had the desired effect and has only
served to make the government get even more involved in the
