The world is
getting smaller. The NAFTA agreement was the beginning of
trade consolidation, which will slowly expand into other
areas. This is an advantage and disadvantage at the same time.
The US was able
to expand their agricultural exports to other countries, but
Mexico, Central/South America and recently China have been
able to sell into the US and have displaced some growing areas
in this country.
Countries that
have the competitive advantage will benefit from this world
consolidation. |
