In our region, there is no real problem in
satisfying the requirement of existing population. The
rainfall is quite regular and satisfactory. Lebanon is blessed
with high mountains where snow brings every year the necessary reserve of water.
This major factor is
already playing a major role in helping our farmers to grow
easily any crop. Needless to say that technical advice and
crop protection programs against diseases are being
implemented by farmers under local expert supervision.
However, more equipment and mechanization are still needed for
a better performance. |
