I don't believe
this will dramatically change the role of seed companies -
rather it will provide seed companies with new and expanded
market
opportunities.
For instance, the
case of ethanol is a great example in this
situation. Has the role of ethanol drastically changed seed
companies' role
in the industry? No - it has added a new opportunity to the
industry.
I think this will
become even more important as new technologies like those
you mentioned are introduced. |
