The "Starlink
episode" and the issue of adventitious presence of GMOs
non-deregulated in Europe have dramatically slowed down the
export of commercial seed from the US to Europe, principally
in hybrid corn, and also some canola from Canada.
This had
increased the production in France and other EU countries at a
time when we forecast a strong competition with the Eastern European Countries.
The cost of
quality control has exploded but the price of seed has not
followed. |
