What are the
main issues currently facing the seed industry ? |
 |
Every day we have a lot of
problems to solve, such as the seed lot sizes, sampling rules,
certification of seed mixtures, germination tests,
establishment of an OECD seed scheme for production of F1
hybrid cotton, the adoption of the new OECD Tree and Shrub
seed schemes, and so on and so forth. Those problems may seem
trivial, but they have to be solved, as they impact
significantly on the day-to-day life of seed companies and
they must not be underestimated.
On top of that, I see at
the moment four main issues currently facing the seed industry
and which we are working on:
Obviously, by issue I don’t mean threat but new situation
we have to try and influence into the direction of our
industry and its customers and then to adapt to.
