What role do wildflowers play in our society? Why are they important to all of us?
Wildflowers represent one of the most colorful and attractive aspects of nature. They symbolize a part of the natural environment that we do not often see in our daily lives, particularly in the suburbs and inner cities. They are a form of beauty that home gardeners can easily replicate in their backyards.

For some, wildflowers represent a sense of simplicity, freedom, a casual life style, a feeling of wildness in a very complex, demanding, busy society. Perhaps above all, they provide some color and beauty in a world of glass, brick and concrete. There is nothing more refreshing on the front page of a magazine or a website than a field or a bouquet of wildflowers. It is like a breath of fresh air!

Except for those of us in the business, wildflowers play a small but important role. It is when they are almost gone that we miss them the most.
