Very
difficult question. In some countries it is below 1%, in
others 3-5%.Politicians still
aim at 10% in 2010, but I belief that on average it will be
for the vegetable seeds 5% by 2010.
Much is still dependent on what will
happen in the first
few years after 2003.
In many cases the seed industry is now
already able to meet demand in certain species.
There might always be accidental
shortages in certain varieties, but that also happens in the
conventional seeds business.
