I have had and still have the great pleasure of working for many years side by side with Prof. Nachum Keidar from the faculty of Agriculture.

Nachum was the first one to breed long shelf life tomatoes.

He understood that this feature would bring the benefit of flexibility to all members of the chain, from the grower through the produce companies to the consumer.

His vision and devotion were very inspiring to me and I would like to wish him more years of creation and innovation.
