Responsibilities

Trial Program

  • Design and manage screening, T1, and T2 trials and/or semi and commercial programs in line with the Sales & Marketing policy and within Nunhems in order to enable the assessment of field performance of the hybrids.
  • Coordinate and execute the Melon Book and Growing Concept program.
  • Follow up closely the field performance to extract the valid results (conclusions) on the field performance to create the knowledge base.
  • Analyze and disseminate trial or program results regarding product performance.

Knowledge Base Development

  • Identify, develop, and transfer technological packages (Knowledge Base) on semi and commercial hybrids.
  • Maintain knowledge base of the main production areas and growing practices for NAFTA (North America) for Melon and Watermelon.

Sales Support

  • Provide technical support to the sales department and customers by means of advice and training regarding Melon and Watermelon in order to ensure a successful product introduction or project result.
  • Support Key Customers and Dealers on the technology transfer of particular products in terms of field trials, visits etc.
  • Provide support on product complaints.

Educational Qualifications Desired

  • Bachelors’ degree, Master’s degree preferred.

Skills and Experience Desired

  • Experience with melon and watermelon crops a plus.
  • Language: fluent in English and working knowledge in Spanish.
  • Technical background (5 or more year’s testing or data collecting experience).
  • Competencies: analytical skills, computer skill (Microsoft Office).

Working Conditions

  •  Frequent NAFTA and international travel required.
