Rijk Zwaan USA is responsible for the introduction and sales of the Rijk Zwaan vegetable seed products in the United States. We have a job opportunity available for a Production Fieldman in Western Oregon.

Job Description:

Position is accountable for the organizing, planting, crop maintenance, and harvest of screen cage program as well as farming of small trial fields in surrounding area. This is a hands on position that will provide detailed crop evaluation information to breeding department personnel of Rijk Zwaan in Europe. Position will also work directly with farm equipment, sprayers, seasonal labor crews, and irrigation equipment. Will be responsible for creating budget and managing expenses. Position will also work with third party suppliers of production seed crops.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture or two years of related experience and /or training is required. Experience in the vegetable seed or row crop farming industry is desired. Strong communication skills are important and US citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to lift or move up to 100 pounds. Successful applicant will be required to obtain ODA Private Applicator License. We offer a competitive salary and benefit package.
