In the framework of our development, we are looking for a Junior Sunflower Breeder based near Toulouse, France.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of Soltis nursery Senior breeder,
- You are in charge of the breeding nursery activities based in France, for the first breeding generations.
- You are coordinating breeding and characterization of Soltis breeding lines untill the first hybrid value testing.
- You are involved in different transversal projects with the other Soltis breeders : genetic resources, breeding strategies, elite lines conversions, pathology topics….
PROFILE
- PhD or equivalent.
- Specialized in Plant Breeding.
- A first experience in breeding is an advantage.
- You have a good background knowledge in agronomy, quantitative genetics, statistics, and molecular markers analysis.
- You are interested in working outside in the fields.
- You have good communication skills.
- You are fluent in French and English.
