Sakata Seed America is looking for a Production Area Manager for our Supply Chain/Production Department.

This position is located in the California Sacramento Valley.

Responsible for assisting the Branch Manager in the production of quality seed. Responsible for field scouting, rouging, sweeping of fields and managing carrot root-bed. Aids in scheduling procedures with growers to assure quality seed production.
Request stockseed for production and monitors progress of greenhouse plantings.

Must have excellent record keeping and data collection skills.
Must be familiar with Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Minimum 3 years farming and/or agriculture-related experience required.
General knowledge of seed production preferred.
College degree in agriculture, biological science or equivalent experience in agriculture required.
Must have valid California Driver’s License.
