Country Managers (Business Development)

Location: Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan, Mozambique, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire

Qualification and Experience:

The incumbent should possess a B.Sc / M.Sc (Agri) degree with 10-15 years experience in International Business in Agri-Business/Seed Industry.

The candidate shall report to the CMD/Head-International Business and co-ordinate with the other heads of departments in the region.

The Position Involves:

  • Develop annual strategic plan and facilitate the direction for new market opportunities for the company in the region.
  • Proposes and implements the business Development program in his/her country of responsibility.
  • Technical contact in help to the local channel for sales and contact with opinion leaders.
  • Monitor and manage market information in the territory in close relation with team.
  • Watch over and follow up competition products, prices, performances and positioning.
  • Evaluate market size, describe characteristics, suggest sales development strategy.
  • Travel extensively, including rural areas to pursue business opportunities.
  • Managing business channel, marketing activities and field force to drive key profit indicators in the region.
  • Analyze the market trends to track the company's performance and synchronize our sales and marketing strategies accordingly.
  • New product testing, registration, and launching to tap new market opportunities.

Define and propose a sales plan and manage customer relations towards customer satisfaction, including orders follow-up, sales contracts and variety registrations.
