We are seeking to recruit at the earliest opportunity, on a full time basis, a Head of Data Management (m/f) for our Research and Development Department.

Your remit:

• Functional and line responsibility for the R&D Data Management Department
• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the department with the goal of delivering a competitive, effective and efficient service for data management in R&D
• Develop and support the application of bioinformatics programs for molecular breeding/molecular biological research
• Expand database supported systems to integrate breeding mass data
• Integrate and support/further develop Nautilus, the “Laboratory Information Management Systems” in research and service laboratories
• Develop and manage integrated data systems for planning, implementing and evaluating field trials (breeding databases, trial analyses, inventory management)
• Further develop effective and efficient interaction with the central KWS IT Department

Your profile:

• University degree in plant/animal breeding or biology
• Professional experience in breeding and research
• Knowledge of and experience in the development and application of IT-based systems in breeding and research
• Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset
• Leadership skills
• Ability to manage complex processes in a goal and solutions oriented manner
