Sakata Vegetables Europe is part of Sakata group which is one of the leading international seed company. We are very active in research, processing and marketing of vegetable seeds.

For our operations in the Danube area (including Slovenia), we are looking for a Business Area Manager.

Main Activities and Responsibilities:

• Organize and develop sales to end users, growers and plant-propagators or distributors in East Europe and countries for the professional vegetable product range.
• Analyze and report about sales, market and economical developments to the Export Sales manager
• Responsible for sales forecasts and budgets for the whole area
• Coordinate knowledge transfer between growers, sales representatives of distributors and Sakata sales teams as well as product developpers
• Set up and follow up commercial trials in relation with product managers

Position preliminary requirements:

• Experience of at least 5-10 years in sales, preferable in the agro/vegetables sector
• Good knowledge of the vegetables market in East Europe
• Agronomic skills
• Fluent English, French is a plus
• Willing to travel abroad

Qualifications & Experience:

• Excellent commercial skills in sales
• Able to manage a sales and expenses budget, follow up performance indicators
• Excellent presentation, easy communication, effective negotiating skills
• Experience in working with: growers, agro business organizations, agro trade and processors
• Open minded, creative, flexible, team-oriented and reliable
• Main IT software knowledge
