Sakata Vegetables Europe is part of Sakata group, which is one of the leading international seed company. We are very active in research, processing and marketing of vegetable seeds.

Within the Research & Development (R&D) department, you undertake all activities to support Sakata Specialty Tomato Breeder of SAKATA VEGETABLES EUROPE.

MISSION:
The job can be principally defined as following:

• Trial implementation: planning, sowing, transplanting, evaluating, harvesting, recording, and filing Special attention should be dedicated to sanitary care 85% of trials run should lead to usable results
• Breeding trials implementation: planning, sowing, transplanting, scoring, describing, pre-selecting, seed harvesting, recording, and filing.
• You will be in touch with various interlocutors, internal as external: Sakata tomato breeders, product managers, R&D director, and official bodies dealing with regulations and sanitary matters, tomato scientists, growers…

PROFILE :

• Experience in the vegetable seed industry
• Good know how of tomato crop
• Autonomy and initiatives to assist efficiently breeder in charge
• Ability to adapt trial designs to breeder’s objectives
• Ability to communicate with farm manager to handle crops on the best and most uniform way
• Flexibility and adaptation to evolve in an international environment
• Organization skills
• Reliable and consistent reporting
• English language mastering
