Rijk Zwaan’s activities in South-America’s Andes region (Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela) are increasing. We are building long term relations with local business partners and are developing product assortments adapted for each climate and market specification of this region.
To help us to realize these goals, we are looking for a Trial Coordinator for this region.
Variety trials and market information
As a Trial Coordinator you will be responsible for the organization of experimental and demo trials, evaluation of varieties to be introduced in the entire region and for the reporting of the results. Next to these trials, collecting market information and variety requirements from all parts of the vegetable chain is very important. You will work in close contact with your Rijk Zwaan colleagues and local business partners. You will build a professional network, both within the company as with external relations.
Team player
You have completed a horticulture / agriculture related education (e.g. Agronomist) and have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar environment. For this position we are looking for an energetic, enterprising and self-supporting person. You have good analytical skills and are well versed with modern technology. You are resourceful and ambitious and you take the initiative. Good social skills, a team mentality and the ability to establish and develop contacts and relations in diverse cultures are indispensable qualities. You are a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English. For this position, based in Peru, frequent travelling (both international and domestic) is required.
