Trial Coordinator, Andes Region

Location: Peru

At Rijk Zwaan, we develop vegetable varieties and sell the seeds produced from them globally. That puts us right at the start of the food chain, and means that we contribute to the health and well-being of people all over the world. Everything we do is about growth. The growth of natural products that we export around the world. The growth of our company, which currently employs over 2,350 people in more than 30 countries. And above all the growth of our people: we give you every opportunity to use your own initiative and achieve your full potential. Working with colleagues to produce the best and tastiest vegetables. Reinforcing, helping and inspiring one another. That’s how we want to continuously work together towards a healthy future.

Rijk Zwaan’s activities in South-America’s Andes region (Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Venezuela) are increasing. We are building long term relations with local business partners and are developing product assortments adapted for each climate and market specification of this region.

To help us to realize these goals, we are looking for a Trial Coordinator for this region.

Variety trials and market information
As a Trial Coordinator you will be responsible for the organization of experimental and demo trials, evaluation of varieties to be introduced in the entire region and for the reporting of the results. Next to these trials, collecting market information and variety requirements from all parts of the vegetable chain is very important. You will work in close contact with your Rijk Zwaan colleagues and local business partners. You will build a professional network, both within the company as with external relations.

Team player
You have completed a horticulture / agriculture related education (e.g. Agronomist) and have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a similar environment. For this position we are looking for an energetic, enterprising and self-supporting person. You have good analytical skills and are well versed with modern technology. You are resourceful and ambitious and you take the initiative. Good social skills, a team mentality and the ability to establish and develop contacts and relations in diverse cultures are indispensable qualities. You are a native Spanish speaker and fluent in English. For this position, based in Peru, frequent travelling (both international and domestic) is required.

Application
You can send your application at the attention of Svenja van Lunszen (Advisor Human Resources), preferably by e-mail to work@rijkzwaan.nl or apply via our website www.rijkzwaan.com.
