Sales Marketing and Administrative Assistant

Location: Austin, Texas, USA

About the Company

SESACO, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corporation, is the premier genetic developer, processor, and marketer of U.S. grown sesame. Using traditional breeding and selection, SESACO has developed the only non-dehiscent (ND) varieties in the world. ND sesame changes the way sesame has been cultivated and harvested for 7,500 years. Using SESACO's proprietary varieties, farmers throughout the Southern U.S. are discovering that sesame can effectively extend resources and will positively return value as a rotation component in their operation. As the Sales Marketing and Administrative Assistant to the Production Team, you will support a dynamic setting to execute plans for rapid growth. Confidentiality and professionalism are required. In addition to the day-to day administrative activities, the employee will have the opportunity to play an active role in improving the efficiency of the division and the production team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Administrative and operational support for the Production Team
  • Daily management, expense reporting, travel arrangements and events planning
  • Creating purchase orders and invoices
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures and efficient business operating structure for day to day data management at all levels from forecasting long term development and to the detailed settlement of a contract
  • Collaborate in preparing special projects, reports, data analyses and presentations
  • Facilitate campaigns, lead discovery and vetting, contract management and service via Salesforce
  • Develop a master calendar incorporating various perspective of business timelines
  • Develop and establish a communications hub to ensure alignment of all key activities
  • Organize, prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Function as “chief of staff” to help manage and execute critical projects
  • Provide excellent support and service to clientele and affiliates
  • Greeting guests when necessary
  • Use initiative and judgment with in established guidelines
  • Collaborate in preparing special projects, reports, data analyses and presentations 

Qualifications and education requirements:

  • Flawless execution of administrative activities, with high attention to detail, organization and process.
  • Strong team work skills and strong ability to offer suggestions and improvements to process and work effectively with all personalities.
  • Ability to be flexible in response to changing needs and priorities of the business.
  • In-depth knowledge of company protocol and business issues/needs and facilitate cross functional participation with other divisions.
  • Thorough knowledge of office management practices and procedures.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, work under pressure and consistently achieve deadlines
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Gmail and scheduling features, MS Word, Excel and exposed to salesforce.com or other CRM
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Economics or relevant experience.
  • Experience working in the agriculture industry preferred.
