This is an opportunity for an individual with a science background and a proven track record in strategic planning and execution, business management and corporate development and translation of novel IP into commercial outcomes.
As such, expertise in assessing company assets and leading the delivery of inherent value is essential as is an understanding of the underlying science and technologies. A high-achiever with experience in agribusiness, preferably global, is required.
The ACPFG is an established entity with an outstanding track record in understanding the genetic and physiological impacts of abiotic stresses on wheat and barley yield. The Centre has a strong scientific team, powerful technical capability and an extensive patent portfolio, that is internationally acknowledged and sought by international agribusiness. After 12 years the company is on the threshold of a new stage of development requiring the implementation of a new strategic plan to drive the future direction of the company and to realise the full commercial and transformative potential of its world class research.
The appointment, initially for 12 months, is subject to renewal for an extended period pending delivery of a compelling investment strategy and proven leadership of the enterprise and its 100 plus staff.
