Summary:
This position requires a complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the protected crop field. The selected candidate will be responsible for sales activities and product development within the assigned territory to generate sales growth focusing efforts in protected crop market requirements in México.
The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for developing and implementing of new products and business development plans within HM.Clause protected crop range, which will meet business goals of providing the best varieties possible for customers, as well as expanding customer base in México.
- Maintain a high level of knowledge on market trends and requirements in USA and Canada at the brokers and shippers level, in coordination with the Product Managers across the company.
- Leads the support team towards the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the product line, develop the required product performance trial data through trials to determine features and benefits of new products. Make recommendations for new products to be advanced into the commercial product line.
- Develop and implement sales action plans to achieve annual sales and margin budgets.
- Participate in trade shows, sales meetings, and field days preparation and participation.
- Provide training and guidance to the sales, technical sales and product development teams in México.
Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of a B.S. in Agronomy or Horticulture, or equivalent field.
- 4-6 years of experience in the Vegetable industry, protected crops preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Skills required:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally extensively.
- Fluency in Spanish and English required.
