We are offering a position as early as possible to a Project Manager (m/f) in the field of Environmental Sciences on a fixed-term contract for 36 months, full-time, at our facilities in Einbeck, Germany.

Responsibilities:

• Concept development for local weather data management integrating global weather data for     R&D purposes
• Implementation of this concept, including organizational changes and systems 
• Responsibility for leading the field of environmental sciences
• Support in the interpretation of soil characteristics and sensor selection of soil-sensors including the development of models for irrigation regimes according to breeding related questions
• Collaboration with breeders and scientists from adjacent fields
• Responsibility for operational support & problem solving

Your qualifications:

• University degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Environmental Sciences, Meteorology or related fields
• Preferable PhD degree
• Knowledge in Meteorology and Soil Science
• Solid experience in project management
• Strong hands-on experience with technical solutions
• Knowledge in information management desirable
• Excellent communication skills and cross-functional teamwork capability is essential
• High degree of initiative and drive, accuracy, customer orientation (external/internal), flexibility, self-initiative
• Strong intercultural skills
• Excellent English language skills, German language skills are a plus
