The vacancy of Greenhouse Technical Sales

The Greenhouse Technical Sales is responsible for technical support for greenhouse business of Rijk Zwaan products, crop lead for indoor lettuce, development of growing guidelines for varieties, and timely reporting as needed for commercial, and crop technical reports.  Responsible for new product development – involves new variety evaluation, semi commercial and commercial trial evaluation with commercial customers, and report to the Greenhouse business manager regarding market developments and production performance. Travel within the US & Canada is part of the job with a possibility of occasional trips to Europe and/or Mexico.

We are seeking a Greenhouse Technical Sales Person with:

• B.Sc.  Agriculture, Horticulture  or related field
• 8 – 10  years experience in the greenhouse industry
• Growing experience in a greenhouse  environment preferred
• Good written and communication skills
• Team oriented
• High level of motivation and ability to work independently.
• Strong  interest in product knowledge.
• Reputation of ethical and credible behaviour

Furthermore, you have good social skills and like to develop long term industry relationships.
