Responsible for managing and executing complete product development cycles for low-risk, environmentally-compatible products and services for Agriculture on a global scale, with a focus on biological pesticide
products. Position manages in a matrix-style design across internal functional groups, including Business Management, Field Development, Formulations, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, and Research.
Principal Responsibilities:
Manage global development programs for a portfolio of active ingredients, including proper design and execution of activities across multiple functional areas, according to approved budgets and timelines.
Champion the development of biological pesticides with a focus on biological fungicides. This includes design, coordination, execution, and interpretation of domestic and international field efficacy experiments and programs.
Develop label use recommendations; and domestic and international product registration.
Manage external relationships relevant to product development activities, experimental design, evaluation and interpretation of scientific results, and communication of results and recommendations to upper management.
Evaluate new leads (e.g., active ingredients, technologies) for potential inclusion in R&D portfolio.
Experience:
Prior experience in the development and/or evaluation of agricultural products, including fungicides. International experience desirable. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams
Knowledge:
Working knowledge of disease control and plant physiology. Working knowledge of the regulatory environment for agricultural products.
Education:
Doctorate degree preferred or Master’s degree with appropriate experience in the agricultural, biological, or chemical sciences.
