Responsibilities

• Manage integration of regulated biotech traits into proprietary germplasm • Interact with breeding and marketing teams
• Interact with trait providers to begin integration of new traits and improve current introgression platform
• Manage trait efficacy program
• Oversee research ETS and BQMS protocols
• Responsible for greenhouse conversion team
• Coordinate with molecular lab for marker assisted and quality assurance techniques
• Requires knowledge of plant breeding and significant experience in data collection, analysis and interpretation
• Must be proficient with adaption of marker technologies
• Assist with non-regulated biotech conversion program
• Develop new conversion and breeding technologies to enhance conversion efficiencies
• Manage specialty conversions (white, waxy, etc) Duties and responsibilities may be revised as needed by the VP of Research either verbally and/or in writing.

Requirements:

• PhD
• Experience in plant related field
• Computer knowledge (Access, Excel, Word) •Significant experience in data collection, analysis and interpretation
• Excellent planning and organization skills; ability to plan and manage multiple projects completely and accurately; attention to detail; problem analysis and problem resolution skills; strong interpersonal and communication skills required
• Ability to work required hours
• Must meet the requirements in the AgReliant Genetics Motor Vehicle Policy

Prefer:

• Knowledge of Spanish language
• 5-10 years minimum experience in plant related field
