The main target is extensive research and breeding activities to develop new varieties which meet the demands of the markets. Breeding is done at four breeding stations in Europe and several further testing locations.

For our breeding station Wardington (UK) as part of DSV United Kingdom Ltd. we are looking for a Forage Grass Breeder (f/m)

Job description

In Wardington we are running breeding activities in forage grass, winter wheat and trials of winter oilseed rape. You will become part of a dedicated, international team of experienced breeders and field technicians who are successfully developing new varieties. In the UK you will be responsible for some of the company’s forage grass breeding programs, taking care of their organisation and planning.

Job requirements

To support our breeding team we are looking for an enthusiastic breeder:

• with a good feeling for practical agriculture and plant breeding
• highly motivated, efficient and prepared to take over responsible leadership in our team
• educated at least to degrees level with a good knowledge of plant breeding, agronomy and/or modern biotechnology
• willing to travel abroad for several weeks each year. Intensive training within other breeding stations is part of your introduction to our breeding network
• be able to represent DSV interests in official organisations and institutions
• take care of our product recommendations and representation in the United Kingdom and Ireland
