Global Head Operations Technology

Location: Nunhem, The Netherlands

LOBAL HEAD OPERATIONS TECHNOLOGY (FT)
To be located at our site in Haelen, The Netherlands

In this prominent role you will:
‘have a major impact on the Operations Technology strategy, research programs, and policies’
‘make good use of your technical knowledge and management experience’
‘be impacting at the most senior levels of management’

Your mission as Global Head Operations Technology
Your main goal is to ensure worldwide competitiveness in Operations Technology by continuous discovery and development of competitive technologies, procedures and products.

How will you do this?

  • By formulating, advising and implementing the long and short term Operations Technology Strategy
  • By monitoring the process of continuously improvement of the policies, procedures and processes
  • By participating in strategic management platforms and research projects
  • By ensuring a correct and optimal realization of the Operations Technology budget
  • By managing the global Operations Technology research programs, plans, procedures and policies
  • By translating market needs and scientific opportunities into profitable procedures and products
  • By ensuring the ‘right high quality people at the right position’
  • By managing, directing and coordinating training and development planning of the employees

You are a professional, technical expert and business manager with:

  • Master/PhD in Science (Seed Technology favourable; Plant Physiology/Pathology; Seed Production; or related science)
  • Several years (5-10 years) of experience in a business setting
  • Training and experience in management
  • Knowledge of affiliated techniques
  • Knowledge of seed business operations practically and theoretically is prefered

Some Experience:

  • As lead person in projects;
  • in managing/collaborating with professionals from many different cultural backgrounds;
  • in HRM, Finance and Accounting, Business strategy, Project management in the Seed Business
  • Language skills: English (fluent), German (favourable)
  • An understanding of the challenges, travel requirements and responsibilities of global role
