For our Dow Seeds Business in Rastatt (Germany) we‘re looking for a 
Pre-Commercial Seeds Production Leader (m/f)

Within the European seed production team, the pre-commercial seeds production leader is responsible for parent seed production, pre-commercial hybrids production and maintenance breeding.
The incumbent will be responsible for maize, sunflower and oil seed rape pre-commercial production.
Production includes field production, plant production, EHS, improvement, contract manufacturing, and work processes integration.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of pre-commercial production strategies, initiatives, and resource plans to support corporate, business, and functional objectives
• Ensures an effective EHS program is in place, showing commitment through personal behavior
• Provides leadership and support through daily actions, coaching and guidance to pre-commercial seed production team;  aligns team goals to regional and global ones through a clear local strategy in order to maximize the value of the business
• Ensures necessary resources are in place to meet production requirements and achieve the team-specific business goals; develop optimum organization to deliver against growth objectives in the area
• Accountable to achieve critical metrics in the areas of yield, cost and quality for the pre-commercial seed produced in the region

Qualifications / requirements:

• Bachelor’s, master’s or engineering degree in agronomy
• 10 years work experience in the seeds business
• Experience in seed production
• People leadership experience: 3 to 5 years
• Experience with complex assignment dealing with broad scope
• Experience in leading large scope projects
• Languages: fluent in English, German is a plus
