Bayer CropScience has extended its InVigor® scholarship program to undergraduate students at the University of Alberta and the University of Manitoba for 2010 after three successful years at the University of Saskatchewan.
These scholarships will recognize the academic achievement of undergraduate students within the agriculture-based programs of these universities.
“We’re excited to be running this program again for the fourth year,” said Brad Ewankiw, Portfolio Manager for InVigor Seed. “Our program was such a success at the University of Saskatchewan that it only made sense to open it up to the other two most important canola producing provinces.”
As a world leader in innovation, Bayer CropScience is committed to helping young agricultural students further their post secondary education. This next generation of graduates from Canadian university agricultural programs will enter the work force at a very exciting time for this industry.
With an eye to that future, students are being asked to write a 250-500 word short essay on the topic:
The Canadian canola industry has set a goal of seeing Canada grow 15 million tonnes of canola by 2015. What are some ways the canola industry – from manufacturers to growers, and distributors to consumers – can help make this happen?
The selected winners will be featured in The Western Producer, where their essays will also be published.
See the InVigor Scholarship page HERE for further details.
