NAL (Naktuinbouw Accredited Laboratory) accreditation for Sakata Vegetables Europe

Uchaud, France
February 3, 2011

Sakata Vegetables Europe is a reliable and high quality vegetable seed supplier throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Seed quality is a top priority for Sakata and is essential for vegetable growers and seed professionals. Sakata Vegetables Europe is therefore proud to announce that it has been awarded NAL accreditation and became the 11th participant in the NAL accreditation system.

NAL (Naktuinbouw Accredited Laboratory) is an accreditation system for private seed laboratories. The purpose of the system is achieving, maintaining and accrediting the required level of reliability in seed testing laboratories. The NAL system ensures that the laboratory quality management system, the testing protocols, the seed analysts training and the manner in which quality information is supplied, satisfy strictly defined conditions. The performance of NAL accredited laboratories is periodically checked to confirm compliance with the requirements of the NAL system.

The NAL conditions have been drawn up taking into account the relevant criteria from the general (ISO 17025) and specific accreditation systems for seed laboratories (ISTA International Rules) and in addition, the conditions for quality system certification (ISO 9001).

NAL accreditation makes it possible for Sakata Vegetables Europe to provide customers with quality information issued on NAL quality certificates. Sakata’s motto is “Quality, Reliability and Service”. NAL accreditation further confirms Sakata’s commitment to customer satisfaction and seed quality.
