Created in July 2011, CLAUSE POLSKA is the latest HM-CLAUSE subsidiary. Based in Krzeszowice, near Krakow, it includes the HM-CLAUSE Polish sales and development teams as well as research activities on heated greenhouse tomatoes.
Since last summer, the team has grown in size and structure. Today the team is made up of 23 people including 15 in research. Adrian Kubiak has been at the head of CLAUSE POLSKA as General Director since March 12, 2012.
HM-CLAUSE is now the only international seed company with its own selection tool in Poland. Two hectares of heated greenhouses provide realistic growing conditions for working on tomato selection and trials for all potential target markets. The objective for CLAUSE POLSKA is to be one of the three leading seed companies in Poland by 2016.
In a Polish market that is growing and very diversified (tomato, cucumber, pepper, onion, carrot and cauliflower), the leading Clause brand crops are: cauliflower, courgette, tomato, gherkin and pepper.
CLAUSE breeds, produces and markets innovative vegetable seeds for professionals. The company has more than two centuries of experience. It is the leader on the French vegetable seeds market.
HM-CLAUSE is a new Business Unit created in 2008 from CLAUSE (France) and HARRIS MORAN (USA). Entirely devoted to vegetable seeds, this new entity is ranked fourth worldwide in its sector. HM-CLAUSE generated more than Euros 230 million in turnover in 2011 and employs more than 1,300 people. Its investments in Research and Breeding represent 14% of annual sales. Its breeding activities concern more than 20 different species. HM-CLAUSE has commercial subsidiaries in 13 countries: Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Spain, Italy, Algeria, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Turkey, Poland and Australia.
HM-CLAUSE is a Business Unit of Limagrain, an international agricultural co-operative group, specialized in field seeds, vegetable seeds and cereal products. Founded and managed by farmers, Limagrain is the first European seed company and 4th largest seed company in the world.
