Statement of the 68th Plenary Meeting of the International Cotton Advisory Committee: The role of cotton in economic development and ensuring food security during a period of global economic crisis

The International Cotton Advisory Committee (ICAC) met in Cape Town, South Africa during September 7-11, 2009 for its 68th Plenary Meeting since the establishment of the Committee 70 years ago in 1939. Three hundred sixty-three people attended the meeting, including representatives from 39 governments and 10 international organizations.
