Valence, France
January 9, 2013

At the end of September, more than 700 professionals came to the CLAUSE international open day in Dirkshorn, the Netherlands, where producers and distributors were shown a highly diversified range of open field crops (pictured below).

Among the varieties was a very wide range of very early to very late broccolis and the MERCURIO F1 carrot, specially adapted for the northern European market. The new CLX 29680 F1 courgette, specially adapted for processing, together with the sweet corn range for the fresh produce market, also drew their attention.

At the same time, in Pula, Croatia, 170 producers and distributors from Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro and Bosnia met to acquaint themselves with the southern crops bred by CLAUSE (pictured below).

A wide range, complementary to the one on show in the Netherlands, comprised 100 varieties from 8 different crops. Among the various new products on show, the CLX37468 F1 determinate tomato won visitors over due to its excellent yield and fruit size.

A third event took place in Romania, during which the whole CLAUSE Brassica range was on show at 4 different sites. Among the varieties shown to local farmers and distributors, the NEGUS F1 cabbage was widely applauded for its excellent behaviour in the field and in hot conditions, as well as for its yield.
